Canon PowerShot SD40

This latest digital camera from Canon comes in a variety of colours, an impressive 7.1-megapixel CCD and 2.4x optical zoom. The camera also boasts of a 1.8-inch TFT screen and 17 shooting modes including video, in-built photo effects and something called auto face detection that detects faces of up to nine subjects within a frame and tailors focus and exposure to optimise the results. If that wasn’t enough, the camera comes complete with a camera dock (with wireless controller for easy charging), direct printing, PC connection and AV out. The Canon Powershot SD40 weighs in at only 105 gms and is powered by a lithium-ion battery. The SD40 will retail at an estimated price of $350 (Rs 16,000 approx),
